150ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆலய நிறைவு விழா வாழ்த்துக்கள்

சின்ன ரோமாபுரி
சுருபக்க் சொன்னால் ஒவ்வொன்னு பாகங்களும் வரலாற்றுச் செய்திகளின் அடிப்படையிலான அழியாச் செல்வங்களாக நின்று அவற்ள் ஒளி கிடைப்பதற்கும் வந்த அந்து புதிய பெயரை வையக்கப்பட்டது உண்மை!
இந்த அடியாலமான கதைஞ்டப்பங்களைச் செய்வதோடல்லாமல் சுமார் 150 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் பூசிய வண்ணங்களும், டீடத்தில் பூசப்பட்ட பொன் முலாம்களும். இன்று வரை அழியாது - மங்காது இருப்பது அந்தச் சித்திரத்தின் அதிசயம். இக்கையை நுட்பங்களைக் கொண்டது. வேலைப்பாடுகளும் சுன்னாம்பு செங்கல், கல்வண்ணம் வைத்து கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்த அழகிய மணிகள் உள்ளங்களையும் கொண்டடம் அரசன் பணம் ஈந்து தங்களுக்குச் சென்றுள்ளனர்.
பிரபல கட்டிட நிபுணர்களும், விஞ்ஞான ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்களும், வேலைப்பாடுமைய சித்திரத்தைக் கூட்டி முடிக்கப்பட்டது. சித்தனைகக்கும் காண மக்கள் கூடி நெஞ்சம் மகிழ்ந்து - மங்காது இருப்பது அதிசயத்தில் அதிசயம் வைத்து மிளிர்ந்து வருகிறது.
மட்டுமா... மணிமொசையைக் கேளுங்கள். இறட்டை மணிகளையும் இணைத்து அடிக்கும்போது எங்குமே கேட்டிராத இனிய நாதம் இது நாட்டிலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்தும், இந்தத் அரசிக்கு நயன் காண கன் கோடியும் வேண்டும் என்னும் நாட்டிலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்தும், சித்திரத்தைக் கூட்டி முடிக்கப்பட்டது. இங்கு வண்ணமாகவே விளங்குகின்றது.
சின்ன ரோமாபுரி
உலகில் பெரிய பெரிய ஆலயங்களிருப்பினும், தத்துவங்களைச் சான்றாக அமைத்து 'உலகப் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ரோமாபுரி பேரால்யம் போன்று, அஃது வடிவமைப்பு கொண்டதும், உலகில் வேறு எங்கேயும் ரோமாபுரியை தவிர 1745-ம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் பங்குத்தந்தை பரம்சோதிக்காய் அவ்வாறான திருக்குடும்ப தேவஸ்தமத்தில் வைத்து திருமுழுக்குக் கொண்டடப்பட்ட பெரிய "சின்ன ரோமாபுரி" என்ற பெயரால் திருக்குடம்பத்தைச் சார்த்தாமே கொண்டும் ஆகவே, கிறிஸ்துவின் டேபர்னாக்கிளை தத்துவங்களைச் செய்து தருவதைக் கூறும் சின்னரோமாபுரி ஆகும்.

"If one speaks of the statue, each of its parts stands as imperishable treasures founded on historical accounts, [shining] so as to give forth light; and it is true that a new name was given [to the place].
Not only does it depict these foundational [scenes], but the colours painted about 150 years ago and the gold-gilding applied to the [features] remain to this day un-fading and undimmed — this is the wonder of that picture/tableau. It holds these intricacies. The workmanship too was built using lime, brick and stone-mortar. Those beautiful bells [were obtained when] the king gave money and they went [to fetch them].
Renowned building experts and scientific researchers completed the workmanship-rich tableau by assembling it. People gather to behold the [carvings/scenes], rejoicing in heart, and it shines as a wonder among wonders.
But that is not all — hear about the bell-music. When the twin bells are joined and rung, [there issues] a sweet sound never heard elsewhere in this land; brought from [a far country], ... to behold this [statue of the] Queen one needs a myriad eyes — and these were brought from [abroad] and the tableau was completed. Here it shines in full colour.
Although there are great, great churches in the world, taking [theological] principles as testimony — like the world-famous great basilica of Rome — this too is of [that] design; and nowhere else in the world except Rome [is there its like]. In the month of May in the year 1745, by the parish priest, for the sake of the all-seeing one, it was so [dedicated]; and being celebrated with baptism in that Holy-Family shrine, this great [church] bears the name 'Little Rome' (Sinna Romapuri) attached to the Holy Family. Therefore, it is the 'Little Rome' that is said to fashion/present the Tabernacle of Christ through [these] principles."
