A shrine, and a First Saturday
On 6 August 1993 Bishop S. T. Amalanathar of Tuticorin consecrated the Holy Family Church and proclaimed it a sacred shrine. With the honour came the First Saturday of every month — a novena and adoration that pilgrims have kept from that year to this one.
