The festival chariot newly designed
In 2014 the parish had a new festival ther of the Assumption designed and built. It took the place of the thirty-five-foot car made by local Vadavai sculptors in 1891, which had carried Our Lady for more than a hundred years and now rests as the cradle of the Pilgrims' Mother. In the same years the Calvary chapel of the Apparition shrine was completed and statues of St Devasahayam and St Arulanandar were set up.
