A new chariot takes the road

In 2014 the parish had a new festival chariot of the Assumption designed and built, and the car the village had carved in 1891 came off the road after a hundred and twenty-three years of processions. In those same years the Calvary chapel of the Apparition shrine was completed, and statues were set up of St Devasahayam and St Arulanandar — the man who was baptised here, and the man who founded the place.
